Caretaking

The Caretaking department is responsible for the following:

  • Emptying waste and recycling receptacles
  • Dust mop and washing floors
  • Dusting window sills/ledges
  • Dusting computer/desk tops
  • Vacuum carpets
  • Dust baseboards and high surfaces
  • Spray buff and refinish floors
  • Stripping & refinishing of floors yearly or by request
  • Shampooing/extracting of carpets yearly or by request
  • Replacing burnt out light bulbs/tubes
  • Clean washrooms
  • Replenish hand towel and toilet tissue dispensers, sanitary napkin dispensers, and soap dispensers in washrooms
  • Keep trap mats clean, in good condition and free of excessive mositure during inclement weather
  • Removing graffiti
  • Moving & resetting furniture and disposal (if a waste management bin is requested, there is an associated cost)
  • Table/chair/dividers set-up
  • Setting and removal of gym mats
  • Cleaning special functions
  • Table/chair setting and removal for special functions
  • Conference and meeting set-up and take-down
  • Sky Jack services
  • Moving boxes for projects
  • Delivering large items/fridges
  • Flip charts (we do not provide paper)
