ITA400Y- Italian Internship

Italian Studies PictureCourse Overview:

Students enrolled in an Italian Studies program can apply the knowledge and expertise gained throughout their studies in Italian in a variety of  companies, nearly anywhere in the GTA and abroad, in Italy.

In consultation with the Experiential Education Unit and the course director, students are given meaningful work in corporations of interest to them. In recent years, host companies have been institutions across the GTA, including UTM itself, film industries (Toronto), health services (Mississauga), and education sectors (Vaughan), as well as internationally in Florence and Sorrento (Italy).

The successful completion of past Italian internships is noteworthy. Past Italian Studies interns have received offers for continued work at their host institutions.

The application deadline is May 9th. Students should include a letter of interest highlighting their qualifications as suitable candidates for an internship opportunity. Applicants who meet the minimum criteria (must be in 4th year of studies, number of courses completed in ITA and CGPA) will be selected for an interview. Final decisions will be based on a combination of academic qualifications, experience and the interview.
