MGT480H5S Management and Commerce Internship Course

Professor Sonia Kang and student

Course Overview:

The primary purpose of this course is to provide students with an opportunity to apply-in a practical setting-the management experience they have gained through previous course work. This is accomplished through work placements, or "internships." The internship provides students with a valuable opportunity to make personal contacts in the public or private sector. The course is also intended to help students to bridge the gap between graduation and full-time employment. Therefore, attention is paid to helping students acquire practical skills that will serve them well in their job search and eventually, in the workplace. The final written submission and oral presentation contribute to the development of communication skills. Please note, MGT413H5S is only available to upper year B.Com, BBA and Management major students who meet prerequisites.
