EUROPEAN SCHOLARS / RESEARCHERS / POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWS AT UofT
Marie Curie International ‘Outgoing’ Fellowships for Career Development (IOF)– enables European experienced researchers (PhD or 4 years FT research experience) to have the opportunity to be trained & acquire new knowledge in a third country (e.g. Canada) high-level research organization. Funding is provided for advanced training & trans-national mobility for nationals of a Member State or Associated Country. Experienced researchers applying to this action need to identify and develop a research training project that will provide the means to reach professional maturity and independence and to add different/complementary scientific competencies to their careers.

The researcher must not have spent more than 12 month at the host organization in the 3 yrs immediately prior. Funding is provided for salary (living, mobility & travel allowance), contribution to research costs which are managed by the ‘host’ European organization. Amount of funding varies on experience, family situation, & host country.
