First Year Physics Exhibition hosted by Department of Chemical & Physical Sciences

On February 26, 2016, the UTM First Year Physics Exhibition was held in the undergraduate Physics labs, Department of Chemical and Physical Sciences.

The exhibition was organized by Dr. Wagih Ghobriel, Instructor of the first year Physics courses.  It provided an opportunity for students to show off interesting Physics demonstrations (a musical Tesla coil, an electric liquid motor, using soap bubbles to find solutions to minimizing distance, sending audio over a laser beam, etc.) and poster-boards discussing various subjects in Physics. There was also a talk given on Careers in Physics by Malou Twynam, a Counselor from the Career Centre. The show and accompanying refreshments was open not just to those in physics, but to the entire community, and attendees included students, family members, staff, and faculty.
