About Us

Computing Services exists to enable the effective use of information technology in support of the University of Toronto Mississauga’s Mission, Vision and Values.

Computing Services’ vision is to put our users first in everything we do, understanding and responding to their needs. Our users are students, faculty and staff of UofT Mississauga. We are a progressive and adaptable organization with the skills and capabilities we need to deliver an effective and efficient service to our users. Our users will have easy access to reliable and secure information technology, when and where they need it to enable them to become productive and innovative. We will endeavour to create a governance structure that is clear and simple without bureaucracy or political motivations.

Computing Services will strive to:

  • Deliver information systems and services that meet the needs of our users and achieve a level of customer satisfaction.
  • Support the use and development of information technology to enable innovation in teaching and research.
  • Provide leadership in planning for the effective and efficient use of technology.
  • Provide a robust and secure information technology infrastructure which includes good citizenship behaviours from all of our users.
  • Attract, develop, and retain quality information technology professionals.
  • Foster cooperation, collaboration, and partnership with Central IT Services and other IT units within the University of Toronto.
  • Communicate accurate information in a timely manner and create a governance structure to inform and to prioritize.

Each unit in Computing Services contributes uniquely to the fulfillment of our mission. However, we gain added strength by sharing our knowledge and expertise with each other to create innovative facilities, resources, and services for our users.
