Below is the list of participants, including which organizations have opportunities for graduate students (Masters or PhD level), and those collecting resumes. ** Please note that while some companies will be collecting hardcopies of your resume, others may actually mean that they are "collecting" your resume via e-mail, their website(s), etc.

Check out the Expo Booklet!
You will be provided with a copy of this booklet once you enter the Fair.
Use it to research the organizations and discover the positions available with each organization.
Want to print the booklet? Download this version instead (print double-sided).

  • What education and training are needed?
  • Do you hire students for summer or part-time positions?

FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why should I attend?

A: Career Expo is an excellent opportunity to network with representatives from a range of industries about career paths within their organizations and what type of skills, experience and education are required for these positions. Students from all years and disciplines are encouraged to attend.

Career Expo is also an opportunity to practice your networking skills.  Speaking with representatives and alumni can help you see how your skills and experience (academic, work and extra-curricular) fit different types of work in a range of organizations.  It can also help you plan the kind of skills and experience needed to increase your marketability at graduation.

Q: How does this event work?

A: Every organization will have a table staffed by representatives, who you will be able to speak with on a one-on-one basis.

Q: Should I bring a resume?

A: Please check the list of participants to see which employers will be collecting resumes at the fair.  You don't need to bring resumes, however, as you can also consider asking representatives for their business cards and then follow-up with them shortly after the fair with a tailored application.  For those that are not collecting resumes, ask how and when they usually recruit students and recent graduates.

Q: Do I need to dress up?

A: Dress for success. You want to make a good first impression with the representatives so skip the t-shirt with the slogan and put away the jeans and put on something nice. So while there is no specific dress code you must adhere to, we suggest you make a good impression at this particular event with upscale business casual clothing. What does this mean? Get a better idea by checking out our Dress for Success section.

Q: What do I need to get into Career Expo?

A: While the Career Expo is free to all University of Toronto students, you must show valid U of T student identification at the door. A TCard is required for current students and recent graduates from the past two years.
