UTM biomedical illustrators win top honours at AMI2014

Outstanding work from students and faculty with UTM's Biomedical Communications (BMC) program was recognized with top honours at the recent Association of Medical Illustrators (AMI) conference. The annual meeting took place July 23-26 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

UTM receives $2.3 million in NSERC Discovery Grant funding

Professor Angela Lange of U of T Mississauga’s Department of Biology is among ten successful researchers to have received funding from NSERC’s 2014 Discovery Grant competition.  She will receive $47,000 per year for her project, “Neural and Hormonal Control of Visceral Systems.”

Faculty, staff honoured at reception for retirees

UTM staff and faculty gathered recently to bid a fond farewell to retiring colleagues at a Faculty Club reception.

“These individuals have contributed tremendously to this institution,” said Professor Deep Saini, vice-president of the University of Toronto and principal of U of T Mississauga.
