BikeShare is hiring!  We are looking for 2 people to work for us this year.

BikeShare Coordinator

This position oversees all aspects of UTM BikeShare program.

  • Maintain fleet of bikes in good and safe working order
  • Carry out educational repairs for members of the UTM community
  • Maintain BikeShare records, including log of rentals and repairs
  • Recruitment, training, & scheduling of volunteers
  • Ensure office is equipped with the necessary tools & supplies
  • Continue to advertise the BikeShare service to UTM students, faculty, & staff
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with UTM BikeShare program (e.g. volunteering experience) a strong asset
  • Ability to maintain bicycles & carry out repairs
  • Experience with volunteer coordination an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Familiarity with UTM’s environmental programming an asset
  • Must be able to work independently without direct supervision

This position works 15 hours per week starting in April 2018 (exact date weather dependent).  This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of a 1-month extension.  Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

BikeShare Assistant

This position assists with day-to-day operations of the UTM BikeShare program.

  • Maintain fleet of bikes in good and safe working order
  • Plan bicycle-related events throughout the year (usually 1-2 events in fall and 1-2 in spring)
  • Assist with promoting BikeShare to the UTM community (may include tabling at events)
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and scheduling volunteers
  • Hold office hours on a regular basis
  • Assist in maintaining BikeShare records, including log of rentals and repairs
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with UTM BikeShare program (e.g. volunteering experience) a strong asset
  • Must be able to work independently without direct supervision
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with other UTM environmental programming an asset
  • Experience planning events an asset

BikeShare is always looking for volunteers!  Volunteers perform duties such and holding office hours, signing bikes in and out and performing educational repairs on our own and customers' bikes.  Training is provided.
