Assistant Women's Basketball Coach, Ray Williams

Coach Ray Williams begins her first year as an assistant coach for the UTM women’s varsity basketball team for the 2017-18 season. Prior to joining the Eagles coaching staff, Williams served as an Athletic Academic Advisor at Florida A&M University where she was responsible for facilitating the academic success and verifying eligibility for six varsity teams.

Williams also had a two year stint with the Georgia Southern women's basketball program as a graduate assistant. She handled travel, film coordination, academics and post development.

She served as an assistant basketball coach for the Brampton Lady Warriors for the 2012-2103 season and taught grades 9-12 in the Peel District 2010-2013

Williams was a four-year letterwinner at New Hampshire from 2003-07. She was a standout post player who ranks 12th on the school’s rebounding list and fifth in blocked shots and was a teammate of Head Coach Johnson-Edwards.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in sociology from New Hampshire in 2007, Williams played professionally in Denmark from 2008-09 before returning to her native, Canada.

Williams has a Bachelor's in Education from the University of Toronto, OISE and a Master's in Social Science from Georgia Southern University. She is excited to bring her passion for post development and academics to this young program, ensuring the UTM Women's Basketball student-athletes are successful both in the classroom and on the court.
