Preparation to Launch (Prep2Launch)

Academic and Professional Skills Development

We offer two ways for upper year undergraduate students, who are preparing for careers or further studies, to improve their professional and professional-academic skills through our Preparation to Launch program: workshops and appointments.

Workshops:

We offer several workshops each term devoted to professional skills development - presenting, writing case studies, preparing briefs, knowledge transfer and science communications, grant and proposal writing, critical reading and reflective writing. We work with your department professional skills programs (such as Management, ICCIT, and Biology) to give you credit towards the completion of these workshops.

Registration is required. Please go to our workshop registration page by clicking here:  Workshop Registration.

One-On-One Support:

You can book an individual appointment to go over your professional writing samples, prepare for your next presentation, create a portfolio or dossier, put together a CV, write a personal statement or statement of intent, draft a research proposal, etc.
