Filling Positions Under the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement

The Department of Anthropology may hire Sessional Lecturers to deliver some of its undergraduate courses.

How to submit an application

If you wish to apply to Sessional Lecturer postings at the UTM Department of Anthropology, please follow these steps:

  1. View postings at the University of Toronto Careers website (all of our Sessional Lecturer postings are available there). Postings will also be placed on the departmental bulletin board across from HSC392.
  2. Submit the UTM Department of Anthropology Sessional Lecturer Online Application form
  3. Email your CV to Carolyn Loos, Departmental Manager at carolyn.loos@utoronto.ca

General Information

Generally speaking, we expect to make decisions concerning courses in July for Fall and Winter courses and in April for Summer courses. However, some decisions may be made earlier or later than these time frames, depending on circumstances.

Unexpected vacancies may arise at any time.

Please note that in accordance with that agreement, preference in hiring is given to qualified persons holding the rank of Sessional Lecturer II and Sessional Lecturer III.

This notice is posted pursuant to the CUPE Local 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement.

A list of "exclusion equivalent" courses (if any) may be found on the UTM Academic Calendar.

Applications will be retained for twelve (12) months. Persons who submit applications and CVs will receive emailed job postings for specific positions for the subsequent twenty-four (24) months.
