Ian Orchard Student Initiatives Fund

Established in 2010 in honour of his service to the University of Toronto Mississauga as vice-president and principal (2002-2010), the Ian Orchard Student Initiatives Fund supports university recognized student groups who have inspiring and engaging projects or events that enhance the student experience and foster a sense of campus community.  

Application submissions are now closed and will re-open in the fall 2018. For inquiries, please contact advancement.utm@utoronto.ca.

Examples of winning submissions include special initiatives such as festivals celebrating the arts and student talent; academic initiatives such as case competitions; service learning initiatives such as Alternative Spring Break; diversity initiatives and community development projects. Specific award criteria and guidelines are detailed on the application form.
