A Welcome from Gage Averill, Vice-Principal Academic and Dean

The University of Toronto Mississauga is a student-centred research community that has pioneered leading-edge strategies for student success. As part of the University of Toronto, one of the world's leading research-intensive universities, UTM hosts 15 departments and institutes that provide the richness of a comprehensive university, and yet our size helps us to sustain an intimate and welcoming environment, capable of nurturing student growth among our undergraduate and graduate students alike.

Our campus serves as a green research and teaching facility and its many award-winning buildings provide an ideal setting for learning and interaction. UTM partners significantly with the City of Mississauga, one of Canada's fastest growing and most diverse communities, and is engaged in its business, industry, and civic life, and this partnering with our community provides enormous potential for experiential and service learning for our students.

The University of Toronto Mississauga boasts a world-class faculty and has the vision, resources, tradition of excellence, and the innovative spirit to educate future leaders for the Greater Toronto area, Canada and the world.
