SCHOOL CONTACT INSTRUCTIONS Dear Science Fair Contact Welcome to Peel Region Science Fair 2006, one of nearly 100 fairs across Canada and 27 across Ontario that celebrate the work of young scientists and recognize excellence in their research and innovation. This package contains information you need to register your projects for the fair. Please note that the registration deadline is Friday, March 24, 2006. The deadline cannot be extended. Early registrations will be accepted. Science Displays Peel Fair participants may select from a wide variety of materials, including pre-constructed corrugated cardboard and foam-core board. Students are expected to attach all information securely to the backboard. Students selected for the Canada-Wide Science Fair will be required to redo their display to meet national science fair safety regulations. A 1-page summary form that matches the one used for the Canada-Wide Fair. The judges use this form to get an overview of the project before meeting the students. Students selected for the Canada-Wide Science Fair will need to prepare a 5-page summary and a 50-word abstract in addition to the 1-page form. You are requested to do the following: Make a copy of the booklet for each participating student but note that in the case of a group project, only one registration form per exhibit is required, with both parental signatures. Ensure that the registration forms are sent in for Friday, March 24th. Please let us know as soon as possible if any of the project spaces you requested are no longer needed.
